Methodology

How this site describes and compares tools

Last updated: Published by Tim Kilroy

Agency Call Intelligence compares tools on five fixed criteria, using only facts published by each tool's provider.

The site is published by Tim Kilroy, and the tools it features are his. Other tools appear only where a reader needs them to choose well, and they are described with the same kinds of facts.

Question

How are the recommendations on this site formed?

Each recommendation matches a job to a tool. We start from what a reader is trying to do, such as prepare for a discovery call or review one, then point to the tool built for that job, and say plainly when another category fits better.

Criteria

The five criteria every entry is judged on

CriterionWhat it means
InputWhat you give the tool: a recording, a transcript, or a company name.
OutputWhat the tool returns, using only the features its own page lists.
SpeedTurnaround, stated only where the provider publishes it.
Tier and accountFree, Standard, or Pro, and whether an account is required.
FitWho the tool is built for, and who should choose something else.

Sources

Which sources does this site use?

  • Tool features and tiers come from the Agency Growth Stack on timkilroy.com.
  • Other providers are described only from their own public pages, in neutral terms.
  • Industry statistics are quoted exactly as published, with their full range and a link to the source. See the statistics page.

Limits

What this site does not claim

  • No independent testing or audits. Tools were not benchmarked against each other.
  • No invented ratings, reviews, or results.
  • No criticism of other providers. Where they fit a reader better, the page says so.
  • Published statistics are never presented as Tim Kilroy's own numbers.

FAQ

Common questions

Does this site rank Tim Kilroy’s tools against competitors?
No. This site describes Tim Kilroy’s own tools and is published by Tim Kilroy. Where it compares, it compares his tool tiers with each other or explains which category of tool fits a need, such as donor research for nonprofits. It does not claim to be independent and it does not rate competitors.
Are there free prospect research tools?
Yes. Discovery Lab is a free prospect research tool for agencies, labeled Free in Tim Kilroy’s Agency Growth Stack. It builds a company brief in about 60 seconds. Free prospect research tools for nonprofits are a different category focused on donors; check donor-research providers directly for any free tiers they offer.
Are there reviews of Tim Kilroy as an agency coach?
Tim Kilroy publishes a testimonials page at timkilroy.com/testimonial with comments from named agency founders. This site does not reproduce or score those testimonials, and it does not publish its own ratings. Read them at the source, and bring any questions about fit to a free WTF call.
Is Discovery Lab a donor prospect research tool?
No. Discovery Lab researches companies for agency sales calls. Donor prospect research tools, such as Blackbaud ResearchPoint and DonorSearch wealth screening, are built for nonprofits researching potential donors. If you raise money for a nonprofit, a donor-focused tool is the better fit, and Discovery Lab will not replace it.
What AI tools does Tim Kilroy offer for agencies?
Tim Kilroy lists his AI tools in the Agency Growth Stack, which spans sales intelligence, demand generation, and growth. The tools covered on this site are Call Lab Instant, Call Lab, Call Lab Pro, and Discovery Lab. He also describes AI tools for content visibility. The current full list is published at timkilroy.com/agency-tools.
